Hi guys. I'm sorry to bother you, but i can not find answer no where else. I know this is russian forum, and i do not speak russian but i manage to translate most of it using google language tools .

My question is about ISTA/P installation. Can i install it on my regular PC or laptop ? I found out that i need some sort of hardware (J2534) to connect it to the ecu but i must first find out how to install ista. Do i need a Linux system maybe or it can be done through win xp or VM Workstation ? I found a version on 3xDVD disk and i will download it. As i see i need to unpack it to get usable files (jetunpack), but thats all i found out so far. What to do after it ?

Most important question guys as i said it first: Can this be installed and used on normal computer or laptop and is there some sort of guide for installing it ? My cousin is interested in this, and he will get extra hardware needed for connecting to the car ecu and preforming update, and my job is to do the hard part of installing the software . Anything you can help me with would be highly appriciated .
